Why aren't diesel vehicles supported?

Unfortunately, the onboard diagnostics (OBD) system within diesel vehicles is different than what our OBD-II reader is compatible with. In an effort to curtail excessive emissions from vehicles, the OBD-II system was created in 1996. However, this only impacted vehicles that did not run on a diesel engine, which is why these vehicles are not compatible with our product.

While using the device won't harm your vehicle, the information regarding any engine codes may not be accurate. Other portions of the app (Ask a Mechanic, Find a Mechanic, Maintenance Tracker) will likely work as intended.
